It’s been an amazing year working with Global’s Make Some Noise and their brilliant team as one of their nominated charities.

We’ve been able to do some great things like going on a tour of the studios in Leicester Square to see where and how some of our favourite radio shows are done. Although it was nerve-wracking getting grilled by Nick Ferrari live on air during his LBS breakfast show.

Marvin Humes (from JLS) came down to the Blue Hut to make a promotional video for Make Some Noise which was then shown in front of 100,000 people at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium. That alone was a day we’ll never forget.

We got to join Jamie Theakston for the last leg of Jamie’s Long Walk – 7 marathons in 7 days – and experience the emotional reception he received when he made it to the studios.

To top it all off, we’ve just had a surprise visit from Toni Phillips from CapitalXtra who presented us with a grant cheque for £100,000 towards SkyWay Futures! This means we can still offer young people a free, open-access, wrap around service in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

Thank you to Global’s Make Some Noise and everyone who fundraised and donated over the year. Your support and enthusiasm is infectious and will help to empower and inspire our young people to succeed and achieve a positive future.
