At SkyWay Charity we’re proud to stand firmly against racism in all its forms. As a community-based organisation working with young people and local communities, we recognise the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of race, background, or lived experience.

We have published our anti-racism statement to clearly set out our position and commitment to being an actively anti-racist organisation. This means not only challenging racism when we see it, but also working proactively to break down barriers, confront inequality, and amplify the voices of people from Black and global majority communities.

Our approach is rooted in listening, learning, and taking action. We know this is ongoing work that requires honesty, reflection, and accountability. We are committed to ensuring that our staff, volunteers, young people and partners all feel empowered to speak up, challenge discrimination, and help us grow stronger together.

We invite you to read our full anti-racism statement and to join us in building a fairer, more equitable future for the communities we serve.

Promoting Inclusion in Practice

Our commitment to anti-racism and inclusion goes beyond words, it’s reflected in the way we run our sessions every day. We explore and celebrate different cultures, mark a range of cultural and religious events throughout the year, and encourage open conversations about what’s happening in the world.

We create space for young people to express themselves, explore their identities, and talk about what matters to them. By doing so, we aim to support them in developing confidence, pride, and a strong sense of belonging, while fostering respect and understanding among their peers.

At SkyWay, inclusion isn’t an add-on, it’s at the heart of everything we do.
